I have been a Reiki master for 10 years so did not expect much more than just to learn the Reiki Evolution way of doing attunements/empowerments but I learnt way more than that. I am now confident with the kotodama which I wasn’t previously. I am looking forward to doing many meditations with them. I found your western attunements to be longer than those I worked with originally and after doing my first empowerment and getting the result I did I will always use the empowerments. They flow and right from the start I felt comfortable with them.
In the past I have always allowed students to assist on my courses and I also ask students to organize Reiki Training courses in their area for small groups which I come and run with them as part of their training. This works really well and adds skills and confidence in marketing and organization which I have been able to help with from my many years of experience. It also serves to sow the seed for your own healing and teaching practice in your immediate area, which you can then develop and build upon. The duration of a Reiki treatment depends on the magnitude of the problem. For small problems like common colds, fever, sinusitis, etc, between 4 to 7 days is recommended. For long standing or chronic problems like skin diseases, allergies, arthritis, diabetes, cancer, etc, a minimum of 21 days healing is suggested, and if needed, another 21 days of healing after 3 months.
The Reiki Master Level is the Teacher's Level - you, a Reiki Practitioner, receive the energetic and practical knowledge which allows you to attune others to Reiki. Many Reiki Master students may decide not to teach, however, by undertaking a Reiki Master Course you are also furthering your commitment to Reiki as a spiritual practice to assist you in your healing, growth and development. For this reason an ample amount of time should pass between Reiki 2 and this course.
During your home study course you will receive a series of distant ‘Reiju’ empowerments which are there to support your work with sacred Shinto mantras called ‘kotodama’ and to move you on to (or “attune” you) at Master level. These traditional Japanese empowerments help to open up further the channels through which Reiki flows, they emphasise to your system important aspects of the energy that you will be working with, and they introduce you powerfully to a state of oneness. They are equivalent to Western-style Reiki ‘attunements’ but come closer to passing on what was intended by Reiki’s founder, Mikao Usui. During your course you will also receive some Western-style Reiki “attunements” at a distance, so you will have been initiated using both original Japanese and Western-style methods. During the later stages of your course, you will ‘tune in’ to distant Reiju empowerments which we send out every day, on Mondays. Your Reiki potential will not lessen over time, so tuning into these empowerments is not essential, but doing so will make a difference to you and your Reiki practice and echoes the practice of Reiki’s founder, Mikao Usui, who empowered his students on a regular basis.
One of the greatest joys of Reiki Mastership is teaching Reiki to others. Imagine the thrill of witnessing the members of your Reiki class receiving Reiki energy during the attunement. Then, as you guide them in its use, sharing in their joy and amazement as they experience it's gentle power flowing though them for the first time. As your students use Reiki to help family, friends and clients, a wonderful sense of spiritual connection will develop between all of you. Feelings of compassion and love for everyone will be strengthened as you merge with the Reiki Consciousness and know more deeply that we come from God and that we are all one in God.
The Reiki I, II, III ART & III Teacher Qualification Course: Is designed to help you become a certified Reiki teacher. What stands out about this course is the amount of material you get, which is spread out over 50 parts. This is a complete course that takes one from beginner to master. Students spoke highly of instructor, Rosemary Owen, who teaches in a peaceful manner, although some noted her voice may have been too low a volume. Overall, a good, comprehensive course on this therapy.
If you have come from other lineages and have not been trained in the important techniques that have come from Japan, I would expect you to learn Japanese Reiki techniques before going on to do Mastership with ReikiEvolution. The new teachings are so important to the future development of Reiki in the West. One way to achieve this would be for you to redo your First and Second Degree training with us, so you are ‘in tune’ with the way we do things, but that can start to get expensive, so we achieve this by way of a self-study ‘conversion course’ based on sending you downloads of our Reiki 1 and Reiki 2 course manuals and Audio CDs – as PDFs and MP3s – together with ‘homework’ instructions for you to carry out. You can order printed versions of these manuals and CDs if you wish.
Our Reiki Master Teacher course uses two audio CDs that contain an hour of commentary and 45 minutes of meditations and instructions. The ‘commentary’ CD summarises the main themes of your course and the ‘meditations’ CD contains various useful tracks, for example two tracks which talk you through carrying out a Reiju empowerment and a Western-style Reiki attunement. By having on CD the main things that are said to you on a live course, you really receive a version of ‘live’ training, but in the comfort of your living room, or your car, or on a walk (using a Walkman) or wherever you choose to listen to your CD. You can, in effect, ‘replay’ your teacher again and again! The attunement and empowerment audio guides talk you through the various stages, just like a teacher would do on the day of a live course. So instead of fumbling around trying to read the instructions in your manual while trying to keep in the flow of it, you can simply flip on the CD and follow the instructions. You will thus learn effortlessly through doing, and your practice attunements and empowerments will flow all the more easily because of this.
We spend some time working with Intent, and go through various exercises that help to ‘open our eyes’ to the simplicity and power of Reiki, and the importance and versatility of intent in terms of directing the energy and experiencing different energies. To gain the most out of this course, the student will need to have to hand a group of friends and relatives that they can use a ‘guinea pigs’ to practise things on as they work through the various stages of their course. The course is mainly practical, you see: Reiki is a practical, hands-on activity, not just about book learning.
Learning Reiki from Brooke was one of the best experiences of my life and it changed me in many profound ways. Her Reiki book feels very soothing and peaceful, and knowing Brooke, that is because it is infused with her essence…she truly “walks her talk” and is one of the kindest and most loving people I know. Free distant Reiju empowerments each week anytime on a Monday. Every week you can ‘tune yourself in’ to a Reiju empowerment from Taggart, anytime on a Monday (and more than once if you like!). This will give your Reiki practice a real boost and echoes the way that Reiki was taught by Mikao Usui, with empowerments week-in week-out throughout your training.

Before taking your Teacher training you and I will discuss what you expect / will learn in the class and what your intentions are as a future Teacher. It is a serious step that requires adequate preparation, and you need to feel motivated and ready for it. Extended experience with practice in Reiki Degrees 1, 2, and Master is required and the experienced use of all the Symbols is a must. This usually can be done 1-2 years or later after the Reiki Master Degree is obtained.
Activation of Reiki within a persons hands is made possible by a simple process called an "attunement". The attunement or empowerment is performed by a Reiki Master during a workshop. It is the attunement which allows the person to tap into and channel the Reiki energy. It cannot be learned from books or just being talked about. Without the attunement you may direct healing energy, but it will not be Reiki energy.
We spend some time talking about how to develop intuition and give some suggestions for moving beyond the basic “Reiji ho” approach. We will practice working intuitively in a number of different ways and introduce a method where we can directly perceive someone’s energy system, and we also explore some “mind’s eye” visual shortcuts. Again, students will practise various intuitive exercises on their group of friends and relatives, gaining facility through repetition.

The sessions will be recorded and available to everyone who registers and attends the live event to use for review. You’ll be able to ask questions during our live gatherings and also on the private page where you can review the recordings.
