Healing attunements seem to have derived from the work of William Rand, and are designed to be used to help a client open themselves fully to the effects of Reiki. I see them more as a Reiki ‘blessing’. Reiki Psychic surgery is a ritual which focuses your intent in a particular way. The microcosmic orbit meditation takes the energies associated with the Reiki symbols round the functional and governor channels, and crystal healing grids are used to send distant Reiki 24 hours a day by using ‘charged’ crystals in a particular geometric pattern. ‘Antahkaranas’ are Asian symbols that produce a healing effect of their own, without the need to be attuned to them. The basics of pendulum dowsing are presented in the manual, to allow students to look in more detail at their clients’ chakra systems and to contact their spirit guides if they wish to pursue this aspect of Reiki practice.
I would highly recommend this course and Melissa to anyone wanting to get certified in Reiki. She is always quick to respond to any messages and truly goes out of her way to show she cares. Reiki is a healing art. You will be able to affect change in your own energy field as well as that of others. It is important to have a teacher present with the student during learning to identify such things as proper hand placement and make corrections as needed. It is also helpful for students to practice with each other in the presence of a teacher so that they can ask questions about what they are experiencing and feeling.

We also looked at the Reiki Level I, II and Master Certification Energy Healing Course, which is for those who want to learn Reiki to heal family members and friends. Through this course, you can also learn how to send healing over distances. Students should have a basic understanding of energy healing. Student feedback for this course is overwhelmingly positive with most users praising the perfect length of the lectures — not too long — and how the instructor was available via private message to help.
“The course exceeded my expectations. I had a wonderful teacher who put us all at ease and taught it as though we had not already learned it so the bits I was not too sure about were fine and I know I will continue to study the materials and practice all those important exercises and meditations way into the future. I was also relieved there were only 2 other students there as it was very easy to discuss stuff and share experiences. When I first did my 1 & 2 there were a dozen so it was hard to do that and I was so much more nervous and shy then. By keeping classes small I felt there was more to gain.
The first three levels of Reiki can be taken for certificates and the status of Reiki Master/Teacher. Should the student wish to receive their Registered Integrative Therapist designation, they must then complete the more extensive trainings. Should they already be a Reiki practitioner or teacher and wish to receive their R.I.N. designation, some exemptions can be provided to gain advanced standing in our program.
The duration of a Reiki treatment depends on the magnitude of the problem. For small problems like common colds, fever, sinusitis, etc, between 4 to 7 days is recommended. For long standing or chronic problems like skin diseases, allergies, arthritis, diabetes, cancer, etc, a minimum of 21 days healing is suggested, and if needed, another 21 days of healing after 3 months.
We include a range of original and non-original symbols on the course, though we don’t want overemphasise the use of symbols, because we believe that they have assumed an unnecessary importance within the world of western Reiki. The symbols that you learn on the Master course allow you to send Reiki to heal at the soul level, produce balance in an instant, deal with aspects of karma, and focus energy intensely on the mind or the emotions. It will also be necessary to practice the talks, lectures and meditations you will be leading in class. Make outlines of your talks and practice into a tape recorder. Listen to your tapes and take notes on ways you can improve your talks. Then continue to practice until you are confident. Don't be afraid to use your outline in class. When teaching, relax and let the Reiki energy do the work.
To learn Reiki is to awaken spiritually and to embark on a journey of holistic healing - of both yourself and of others around you. Reiki promotes holistic healing as it helps to bring positive change across the whole of your life - on the emotional, mental and spiritual levels, as well as the physical level. Choosing to connect to Reiki, or Universal Spiritual energy, is choosing to connect to yourself on a deeper level and ultimately reveals the interconnectedness or Oneness of all things.

Let me start by saying technology can be a wonderful thing. I am a big fan of the ways it allows us to connect across continents, time zones, and cultures, and it definitely has its place for learning—more on this below. However, I think there are huge benefits to learning Reiki at an in-person training, and I discuss the powerful ways this differs from Reiki training online so you can decide for yourself where to learn Reiki.

People move on to Master Teacher level for many reasons. Some wish to pass on the gift of Reiki to others, while others are focusing more on their own personal and spiritual development. Some take the course because they want to see all that there is of Reiki, and do with it what feels right for them. Moving on to this level does not mean that you are committing or dedicating yourself to becoming a Reiki teacher, though you never know quite where Reiki might lead you!
