As the Reiki Master Teacher course gives you the ability to attune somebody into Reiki, it is important that you feel confident in your ability to hold the space for initiation. Many people who retrain with me coming from other Masters talk in particular of a lack of confidence in this area, due to a lack of support and hands on practice in real life teaching situations.
Hi this has been a great course that I recommend to anyone studying spirituality, conscious subjects, healing subjects and modalities. I am a massage therapist that discovered Reiki in my work the last 3 years so I studied this course to put the icing on the cake so to speak. My experiencial knowing matches up with what is taught in this course, Reiki is very real and very effective when the skills are realised then projected out. Melissa has done well to present how it is, how it was and how it will always be. All information about Reiki has come to us through Mrs. Takata who learned the system of Reiki in Japan in 1935. According to Mrs. Takata, the definition of a Reiki Master is anyone who has received the Master attunement and Master symbol, understands how to give all the attunements and has actually taught a Reiki class thus passing Reiki on to others. Those who have taken Reiki Master training and not taught at least one person would not qualify as Reiki Masters and should call themselves Reiki Master practitioners until they do teach. If you have taught a friend or family member, then you qualify as a Reiki Master.

The duration of a Reiki treatment depends on the magnitude of the problem. For small problems like common colds, fever, sinusitis, etc, between 4 to 7 days is recommended. For long standing or chronic problems like skin diseases, allergies, arthritis, diabetes, cancer, etc, a minimum of 21 days healing is suggested, and if needed, another 21 days of healing after 3 months.
The goal of this online Reiki course is to learn how to use Reiki as a healing and personal growth system. It was designed by Lisa Powers, Udemy award-winning instructor, and Amy Grant, Reiki teaching assistant, who state that the lessons show you how to perform Reiki from a distance. Of course, if you’re becoming a Reiki Master then you will learn how to carry out Western-style Reiki attunements, but you have a real treat in store for you: we will teach you how to carry out Reiju empowerments, which are beautiful, flowing initiations that come from Japanese Reiki and which were used by Mikao Usui’s students. You’ll also learn how to empower yourself through the power of Shinto mantra and visualisation, something that is lacking from standard Western Master training.

This course allows for and does that, its immediately evident that the intent off Melissa is that this is her goal and a very noble one. We have not finished our course yet but are well on the way to completing it. The teachings and attunements we have recieved have been used to great success on everybody including ourselves. You will not find a more helpful, honest, kind instructor and we are both blessed to have you as our instructor and will work hard on completing the course in the next two to 3 months. I recently lost my dad and my mum her husband to say we were close would be a massive understatement. Through the use of Reiki we were able to heal both his physical and mental pain, he had cancer and a massive abdominal wound and was not eating nor drinking fluids. Regardless of this we did reiki on him sometimes twice a day or more and even distance healing. The surgery team and doctors could not believe there own eyes with the rapid healing of his wounds. They even took photos to show other doctors, I can only hope that western medicine understands and accepts that Reiki is real and it works we are both not masters but using the techniques taught and loving energy and those above and the universe we made a difference and cannot thank Melissa enough for the gift she have us. We begin the course by considering the different ways that we can experience different aspects of the energy: using symbols, using sacred Shinto mantras called Kotodama, and using pure intent. We put this in the context of the original system that Mikao Usui taught and show how energies can be used when working on the self and when working on other people.
Becoming a Reiki Master involves the introduction to another, very strong Symbol. With this Master Symbol you will feel completely integrated with your inner-self. You will also learn to perform the Heart Attunement on yourself and on others. From this stable platform you will be able to introduce others to the practice of Reiki and advance to Reiki Teachership.
The Reiki attunement can start a cleansing process that affects the physical body as well as the mind and emotions. Toxins that have been stored in the body may be released along with feelings and thought patterns that are no longer useful. Therefore, a process of purification prior to the attunement is recommended to improve the benefit one receives. See below for specific instructions on preparing for an attunement.
I have been a Reiki master for 10 years so did not expect much more than just to learn the Reiki Evolution way of doing attunements/empowerments but I learnt way more than that. I am now confident with the kotodama which I wasn’t previously. I am looking forward to doing many meditations with them. I found your western attunements to be longer than those I worked with originally and after doing my first empowerment and getting the result I did I will always use the empowerments. They flow and right from the start I felt comfortable with them.

I really enjoyed this course, it was set out in a great format that is easy to follow and track your progress. Melissa has an easiness to her teaching style and it all felt natural and simple. Melissa was also very responsive to correspondence and felt genuine. Strongly recommend it, I did this course to refresh on Reiki and acquire my masters however I have recommended it to my Dad to do for interest and self healing – I believe the structure allows for success for both professional and personal benefit.

There is one point I cannot stress enough: you will be a healer for yourself, however you will be a 'tool giver' or a 'facilitator' for others. What I mean by that is that people heal themselves with the energy they receive and you are the person that makes that achievable for them. You show them the way to heal, and by giving the Reiki energy and supplying them with the Life Force Energy they then use it to heal themselves.
