Find out how long the class is; ask for an outline of what you will be taught and the cost. In a first degree Reiki class you should be taught a sequence of hand positions for treating yourself and other people, and given time to practise these in the class. You may also be taught about treating animals and plants. You will be usually told the history and principles of Reiki and there will be opportunities for you to ask questions.

The Reiki Master Teacher level 3b training is the final level of Reiki Training and involves an in depth weekend training course followed by an assisted teaching program with a group, taking them from first level through to Master practitioner. Assisted teaching gives you the opportunity to refine your skills as a Reiki teacher with the safety of my support. It allows you to gain confidence & further insight into Reiki as you witness the changes others make when they begin their own journey with Reiki.
Mastership allows you to pass the Reiki ability to others, and you will be using the course manual (with step-by-step instructions, digital images, drawings and summaries), the Audio CDs and the DVD to make the process of learning attunements as straightforward as possible. You will practice the attunement process extensively during your home training with Reiki Evolution. We use the example of a Second Degree attunement as a focus for teaching, then going on to talk about the differences between that attunement and those at First Degree and Master levels.

You may have heard that Reiki must be taught in person and I am here to let you know that is simply not true. Preparing for professional practice: If you’re considering offering Reiki as a professional practitioner, it’s important to have lots of practice giving Reiki sessions (one of my former teachers said you should give at minimum 100 sessions before you even think about charging and working professionally!). Our approach is to view Reiki as primarily a self-development, spiritual development and self-healing method and this is particularly so at Master Teacher level. While we do deal with the treatment of others comprehensively on this course, we do not lose sight of the fact that Reiki is about self-development first, and the treatment of others second. So we echo the original system that Reiki’s founder taught by rooting your practice in personal energy work. You will learn to enhance and deepen your self-healing by getting to grips with and fully assimilating the energies of the kotodama, by working to develop your Tanden and by learning to empower yourself regularly. By the end of your course you will know how to – in effect – give yourself a Master attunement every day. This is a powerful activity that will really move you on spiritually and in terms of self-healing.

Stage 4 This week is all about becoming familiar with Shinto mantras that predate the use of symbols within Reiki, mantras used by the majority of Usui Sensei’s students to experience the energies taught at Second Degree and Master levels. Firstly you will receive distant empowerments for each of the four energies. Then you will be chanting and meditating on the four kotodama energies. You will move on to compare their energies with the energies of the four corresponding Reiki symbols. Finally you will use them in practice when treating and when carrying out distant healing. It will take about 10 hours to carry out these various tasks, over 10 days.
I have taught many people in person since then, but I am aware of how hard it can be for many people to access what they truly want to study or participate in. Hello! My name is Cheryl Jiala Driskell. I am an author, intuitive counselor and energy therapist, R.I.N., and the Master Reiki Teacher who has written the CSNSD's Reiki Programming. I have taken my role very seriously in my development of the Reiki courses I, II & III (teacher level). I have also been in large part the creator of the Registered Integrative Naturotherapist level whereby the Reiki teacher can extend their training to include this additional designation. As the Reiki Master Teacher course gives you the ability to attune somebody into Reiki, it is important that you feel confident in your ability to hold the space for initiation. Many people who retrain with me coming from other Masters talk in particular of a lack of confidence in this area, due to a lack of support and hands on practice in real life teaching situations.
The third symbol is an essential part of the Second Degree. It lets you send healing energy and mental messages over a distance. This is similar to commonly experienced telepathic phenomena as we all know them, e.g. you think of a friend and at that very moment this person calls you. Reiki energy can be transmitted that same way but more effectively and stronger. The 'receiver' and the 'sender' experience the treatment as if it were a treatment given one-on-one in the same room. With the distance healing symbol you can also work in the past, present and future.
Each online Reiki class I offer is unique because each class is a co-creation by me and the people in the class. You’ll learn Reiki at home and you’ll learn with other students. This is important because we all learn from one another. All trainings include discussion of spirituality, science, history, safety, combining Reiki with conventional medicine, and the Reiki Precepts, but different groups go more in-depth in some areas than in others.
