It was nice when you explained that Reiki is a therapy wherein the energy is moved and the energetic systems are affected in order to promote the healing of a person. That seems like a harmless way to improve a person. I might ask my mom to give this a try since she has been suffering from the side effects of her surgery, and she doesn’t want to take meds. This is the best alternative to get her to feel better.

Also, it is written in a clear and concise manner so it is easy to follow and understand. Reiki/Seichem is performed by the ‘laying-on of hands’ whilst the client remains fully clothed on a massage couch or seated in a chair. The practitioner channels this life energy through their hands to the recipient for the purposes of healing the body, mind & spirit. It is said to accelerate the body’s ability to heal physical ailments, opens the mind & spirit to the causes of disease and pain, reinforcing the recipient’s ability to take responsibility for their life. The hand positions correspond to the energy centres of the body & their associated organs. The Practitioner may work ‘hands off’ to facilitate deeper healing in the energy field. The number of treatments depends upon the root cause of the problem and the amount of energy needed to restore the well-being.
You should already have experienced that sense of peace, contentment and serenity that Reiki brings you, and perhaps experienced a spiritual awakening. Now you will carry out special meditations using kotodama: Shinto mantras taught by Reiki’s founder, Mikao Usui, in the 1920s. Stage 4 This week is all about becoming familiar with Shinto mantras that predate the use of symbols within Reiki, mantras used by the majority of Usui Sensei’s students to experience the energies taught at Second Degree and Master levels. Firstly you will receive distant empowerments for each of the four energies. Then you will be chanting and meditating on the four kotodama energies. You will move on to compare their energies with the energies of the four corresponding Reiki symbols. Finally you will use them in practice when treating and when carrying out distant healing. It will take about 10 hours to carry out these various tasks, over 10 days.

The Western-style attunement process is not the only way to convey the Reiki ability to students. The Reiki Evolution Master Teacher course also includes training in the ‘Reiju’ empowerment process that has been passed to us by Usui Sensei’s surviving students. Reiki has many benefits for the client or recipient but also has many benefits for the student too. This is due to the ‘attunements’ which are where Reiki energy is transferred into the student’s energy system and chakras with a view to opening and cleansing their chakras (energy centres). This raises their vibration, cleanses their system and opens the chakras to enable the free flow of the healing energy through their upper body, arms and hands.
