A. Many teachers started with Usui Reiki which is excellent then are introduced to this system which does not take anything away from the Usui method. This system just adds to what you already have to make the system of healing you offer even stronger. I have had the opportunity to look into some free Reiki courses, please check this style of Reiki out as she offers a free course in Reiki and then if your into it you can join her in the full learning of this energy modality THE GREAT thing about this style is that she has not separated it into levels and it is taught as it was intended before it was changed for the western world.

Reiki is easily learned and practiced as self-care by anyone who is interested, regardless of the person's age or state of health. Children can learn to practice, as can the elderly and the infirm. No special background or credentials are needed to receive training. One of the hallmarks of Reiki practice is its simplicity: it can be learned in about ten hours of in-person training, generally offered in group class formats, and doesn't require knowledge of either subtle bioenergy or healthcare.
There are schools that teach parts 1 & 2 over 2 days or more but usually they have far more students and hence, larger classes. Gateway Workshops specialize in smaller classes, giving the benefit of individual and personal attention to students. You will also receive a detailed manual within the price of the course. Before I took Reiki I was spiritually healing at times and did some training in 2000 at my local spirituals church as a trainee healer. However Reiki really appealed to me much more so, and I love it! I found Reiki attunements really helped in the reconnection to the life force energy and it has much more in depth teachings, to aid the student progression through the different levels of Reiki, for a much deeper understanding of how it works and how best to use and apply it.

We have developed a course of more than 1200 hours of training such that our Reiki graduates can be considered for positions in the professional health and spa communities and eventually gain access to insurance receipts for this work. Becoming a Reiki Master is the next step after having reached the Second Degree. With receiving the Reiki Master attunement you will be fully opened up to the Reiki Energy. The training takes online 2 times 4/5 hours of intensive training and is available to those who are practising Reiki at the Second Degree level for four months or longer. Experienced use of all the Reiki symbols learned with the second Degree is a must.
You will choose a specific date and time that is convenient for you and myself and you will relax at that set time. I will connect energetically with you and perform the ceremony. Reiki energy is non-invasive and your body decides how much Reiki it will use and what it will address. The attunements are with you for life and you can then use Reiki whenever you wish.
LOVE this course! I feel the curriculum strives to focus on important information that is key to learning Reiki. Also, it is written in a clear and concise manner so it is easy to follow and understand. I tried other Reiki courses and never felt connected and felt like perhaps it was wrong for me, but this has a totally different dynamic. The Kotodama, or ‘jumon’, are sacred Shinto mantras used by Usui before the introduction of symbols into Reiki. We show how these mantras can be used when carrying out treatments, we become familiar with their characteristic energies, we discover how they can be used for self-healing and spiritual development, and we learn how they can be used in conjunction with Reiju empowerments.
The basic effect of the Reiki Master attunements is to fully open up your energy system to Reiki, causing a significant increase in the flow of healing energy. This increases the effectiveness of your treatments beyond that achieved at Second Degree level. On top of this, you are attuned to further symbols, and learn additional techniques, enabling you to treat others more effectively, pass on the Reiki ability to others, and fully experience the flow of Reiki through your being.
Finally, we reviewed the Reiki Level I, II and Master Teacher Program, which gives the students the tools they need to be a certified Traditional Usui Reiki practitioner/instructor. The Usui system is a healing practice focused on self healing. This course will enable students to heal themselves and experience personal growth. The first three levels of Reiki can be taken for certificates and the status of Reiki Master/Teacher. Should the student wish to receive their Registered Integrative Therapist designation, they must then complete the more extensive trainings. Should they already be a Reiki practitioner or teacher and wish to receive their R.I.N. designation, some exemptions can be provided to gain advanced standing in our program.
There three levels in reiki namely level 1, level 2 and the final level which gives you the status of a Reiki master which is level 3.
