Therapy Training School is an approved training provider, and our training courses throughout the UK are recognised and accredited for insurance purposes by UK governing bodies such as: The Guild of Beauty Therapists (GBT), the Guild of Holistic Therapists (GHT) and The International Institute for Complementary Therapists (IICT). Insurance can also be obtained for the UK via Towergate Insurance and Westminster Indemnity. You will be able to practice as a self-employed therapist or mobile therapist. I stumbled upon Melissa when looking for Reiki courses, and although getting a good feeling from her, I originally decided I wanted to learn in person. 12. By receiving an attunement you will become part of a group of people who are using Reiki to heal themselves, and each other, and who are working together to heal the Earth. You will also be receiving help from Reiki guides and other spiritual beings who are also working towards these goals. While Reiki is not a religion, you may prepare your mind with intention work and pray in a religious mode comfortable to you to prepare to open to higher spiritual energies and experiences.


A 2 day course that deepens your connection and application of Reiki. This course introduces and attunes you to 3 of the 4 Reiki symbols - the distant symbol can be used to send Reiki to a person across space and time - you can literally send Universal energy anywhere in the world. Use of the symbols will also aid your personal development and take you further on your spiritual path.


Some people say that they feel very detached from the world whilst undertaking a Reiki course, and that returning to ‘normal life’ can become very daunting and loud. Therefore we always recommend that you are kind to yourself for the first few days. Drink plenty of water and ensure that you are able (if possible) to rest and enjoy plenty of quiet time.

As time went by, Mrs. Takata contemplated the need to train other Reiki Masters. She realized that the Japanese concept of respect might be difficult to instill in the Western mind. Because Reiki Mastership is so easily learned, being simply passed on during the Reiki Master attunement, she felt that Westerners might not value it. So she devised a plan of charging a large sum of money for those wanting to become Reiki Masters. She felt that money was something that Western people understood and respected and this would help create the appreciation and gratitude for Reiki that was needed. She decided that $10,000 would be a large enough sum to instill the respect needed for the Reiki Master attunement. She also set the fees for Reiki I at $175 and Reiki II at $500. These high fees have continued to be charged by some Reiki Masters, but many are now considering a lower fee structure that makes it possible for anyone who feels guided to do so to become a Reiki Master.


The Kotodama, or ‘jumon’, are sacred Shinto mantras used by Usui before the introduction of symbols into Reiki. We show how these mantras can be used when carrying out treatments, we become familiar with their  characteristic energies, we discover how they can be used for self-healing and spiritual development, and we learn how they can be used in conjunction with Reiju empowerments.


People move on to Master Teacher level for many reasons. Some wish to pass on the gift of Reiki to others, while others are focusing more on their own personal and spiritual development. Some take the course because they want to see all that there is of Reiki, and do with it what feels right for them. Moving on to this level does not mean that you are committing or dedicating yourself to becoming a Reiki teacher, though you never know quite where Reiki might lead you!


By having on CDs the main things that are said to you on the day course, you are focused on the important themes of the course before you arrive for your two days of live training, and you can ‘take your course home with you’ to review once you have returned home, and during the following weeks and months after the course. You won’t forget what you were told on the course because it is all there for you in black and white in the manual, you can hear it on the audio CDs and watch it on the DVD at home!


The Reiki I, II, III ART & III Teacher Qualification Course: Is designed to help you become a certified Reiki teacher. What stands out about this course is the amount of material you get, which is spread out over 50 parts. This is a complete course that takes one from beginner to master. Students spoke highly of instructor, Rosemary Owen, who teaches in a peaceful manner, although some noted her voice may have been too low a volume. Overall, a good, comprehensive course on this therapy.


Our tutor was an inspiration. I feel so completely blessed to have met her and been taught by her. Her knowledge is so vast, once you experience a number of her courses you will be truly amazed by the detail of her knowledge in so many areas. What I love about her is that she is able to be extremely concise about the subject she is teaching and you come away from a course really understanding that subject area because it's been taught in such a simple yet complete way.


Free distant Reiju empowerments each week anytime on a Monday. Every week you can ‘tune yourself in’ to a Reiju empowerment from Taggart, anytime on a Monday (and more than once if you like!). The attunement process used by the Center in all Reiki classes is a combination of the Usui system and a special Tibetan technique. It is thought that Reiki originated in Tibet, therefore, the use of the Tibetan technique and symbols creates a stronger connection with the origins of Reiki. The addition of the Tibetan attunement technique to the Usui system of attunements has greatly improved their quality. This unique attunement process was developed over time to be more powerful and to bring in a wider range of attunement energies than the original Usui system. In Reiki III the Usui/Tibetan method of giving attunements is taught along with the original Usui system of attunements.


Now, individuals throughout the world can learn about Reiki, take all three levels of courses and become skilled and knowledgeable at treating themselves and others. For those students who wish to, they can complete the Reiki Master Course which allows them to teach and learn to connect others to the Reiki Source.
