I'm attuned to Usui-Reiki II, and use various Rainbow Reiki techniques and Japanese techniques (e.g., hatsurei ho, reiji ho, byosen etc), and really want to expand my Reiki "toolbox" by learning Seichem. I know that Gateway teach both together, but it seems pointless me coming along to one of the courses, and paying again for the Usui-Reiki I and II, when all I want is the Seichem part! Will you consider doing separate courses, so that I don't end up repeating myself?!}
It will also be necessary to practice the talks, lectures and meditations you will be leading in class. Make outlines of your talks and practice into a tape recorder. Listen to your tapes and take notes on ways you can improve your talks. Then continue to practice until you are confident. Don't be afraid to use your outline in class. When teaching, relax and let the Reiki energy do the work.

The Second level enables a healer to send Reiki across time and space. By time, we mean that Reiki can be sent to past or future events, for eg. a hurtful event in the past, or an interview in the future. By space, we mean that the patient could be half-way across the world from the healer, and still receive Reiki healing. Time and space do not limit Reiki.

Our Reiki Master Teacher course uses two audio CDs that contain an hour of commentary and 45 minutes of meditations and instructions. The ‘commentary’ CD summarises the main themes of your course and the ‘meditations’ CD contains various useful tracks, for example two tracks which talk you through carrying out a Reiju empowerment and a Western-style Reiki attunement. By having on CD the main things that are said to you on a live course, you really receive a version of ‘live’ training, but in the comfort of your living room, or your car, or on a walk (using a Walkman) or wherever you choose to listen to your CD. You can, in effect, ‘replay’ your teacher again and again! The attunement and empowerment audio guides talk you through the various stages, just like a teacher would do on the day of a live course. So instead of fumbling around trying to read the instructions in your manual while trying to keep in the flow of it, you can simply flip on the CD and follow the instructions. You will thus learn effortlessly through doing, and your practice attunements and empowerments will flow all the more easily because of this.

This is the background and theory that you study from home and then complete an online test paper before attending your practical training. It is easily completed with between 6-10 hours of study time. For some people it may take a little longer. In order to be awarded your Diploma you then have a choice of either providing a dissertation or else a copy of your own Reiki course manuals.

The Reiki Teachers I have trained have the option to come to our regular meetings. These meetings alternate between at my place or via the internet in live online sessions. These meetings are important for all of us to share experiences and to give support as a peer group. You will be never alone, even if you are on the Teacher level. It is great to work together and to learn from each other. There are always new things to share.

When seeking a Reiki Master to take the Master training from, it is important to ask her/him exactly what you will be able to do after you take the Master training from them. Will you receive the complete training and be able to initiate others into all the degrees including full Reiki Master or will something be left out, requiring you to take additional sub-levels or degrees and pay additional fees? You should already have experienced that sense of peace, contentment and serenity that Reiki brings you, and perhaps experienced a spiritual awakening. Now you will carry out special meditations using kotodama: Shinto mantras taught by Reiki’s founder, Mikao Usui, in the 1920s. Deepen your self-healing by focusing on energies that bring powerful physical and emotional balancing and bring a deep sense of connection.

The Reiki attunement can start a cleansing process that affects the physical body as well as the mind and emotions. Toxins that have been stored in the body may be released along with feelings and thought patterns that are no longer useful. I work with people all over the world who want to learn animal communication and Reiki to help people and animals in their families and communities. There are many people who live in places where Reiki training isn’t available or accessible to them. For many reasons, I saw that my calling to teach Reiki classes online could be of service in the world. And so, trusting this guidance, I created my first online Reiki class.
We spend some time talking about how to develop intuition and give some suggestions for moving beyond the basic “Reiji ho” approach.
