Stage 7 This stage is all about Western attunements. You will be learning how to carry out a Second Degree attunement, and you will practise carrying it out. Then you will learn how to carry out a Western Master attunement. Finally you will learn how to carry out the First Degree attunements. It will take about 8 hours to carry out these various tasks, over 7 days.
I would highly recommend this course and Melissa to anyone wanting to get certified in Reiki. She is always quick to respond to any messages and truly goes out of her way to show she cares. I could feel an intense activating energy during my attunement with her. Reiki is one of the most powerful and an effective form of natural healing.It enables one to heal oneself and others. The ability to learn Reiki is not dependent on intellectual capacity, nor does one have to be able to meditate. It does not take years of practice. It is simply passed on from the teacher to the student. As soon as this happens, one has and can do Reiki. Because of this, it is easily learned by anyone.
Stage 4 This week is all about becoming familiar with Shinto mantras that predate the use of symbols within Reiki, mantras used by the majority of Usui Sensei’s students to experience the energies taught at Second Degree and Master levels. Firstly you will receive distant empowerments for each of the four energies. Then you will be chanting and meditating on the four kotodama energies. You will move on to compare their energies with the energies of the four corresponding Reiki symbols. Finally you will use them in practice when treating and when carrying out distant healing. It will take about 10 hours to carry out these various tasks, over 10 days.

Q. I'm attuned to Usui-Reiki II, and use various Rainbow Reiki techniques and Japanese techniques (e.g., hatsurei ho, reiji ho, byosen etc), and really want to expand my Reiki "toolbox" by learning Seichem. I know that Gateway teach both together, but it seems pointless me coming along to one of the courses, and paying again for the Usui-Reiki I and II, when all I want is the Seichem part! Will you consider doing separate courses, so that I don't end up repeating myself?!

I have complete respect for Reiki teachers in all traditions who feel strongly that teaching Reiki only in-person is what is right for them, and I also completely support people who wish to learn Reiki in an in-person environment. I want as many people as possible to have the tool of Reiki, however they come to it and however they use it. I feel it’s important to work with a qualified, well-trained Reiki Master who understands how to teach about Reiki; however, Reiki itself is our most important teacher.
All Reiki classes are taught by Reiki Master Teacher - Justine Nolan and are designed to fully combine the spiritual with the practical. I work as a Reiki practitioner full time; and in have created a successful and sustainable Reiki practice plus a number of voluntary projects within the East London community. Before teaching your first class, additional practice doing the attunements is a good idea. This can be done on friends who already have Reiki. Ask them if they would like to be an "attunement model" and let them know that the additional attunements will be beneficial for them and will refine and strengthen their Reiki energies. Most will gladly agree. If you can't find someone to practice on, you can use a teddy bear or a pillow to represent a person.

Mastership allows you to pass the Reiki ability to others, and you will be using the course manual (with step-by-step instructions, digital images, drawings and summaries), the Audio CDs and the DVD to make the process as straightforward as possible. You will practice the Reiki attunement process in advance of the course and on the day of the course itself you will demonstrate your knowledge in different ways and receive practical guidance and pointers to make sure you are comfortable with the stages involved.
Learning Reiki is a good starting point for experiencing and working with healing energy and a wonderful method for deepening awareness of universal energy. In general, Reiki complements other healing methods and spiritual practices. There are no hard and fast rules about how to approach starting Reiki and starting healing. Again, listen to your heart and you will be guided in choosing the right experiences and teacher(s) for you.

The Reiki attunement can start a cleansing process that affects the physical body as well as the mind and emotions. Toxins that have been stored in the body may be released along with feelings and thought patterns that are no longer useful. I realise that this question is a few years old but the answer will remain relevant for anyone interested in practicing Reiki. I’m a Reiki Master who lived, studied and trained in Japan the traditional methods of Usui Sensei by one of Dr Hayashi’s original students who still lives today. It took me almost three years to become a Master. Each level has 4 degrees of studies and it shocks me to learn that people call themselves a “Reiki Master” after doing a weekend course or even worse taking an online course. This is NOT Reiki!

The third level is Reiki master. Traditionally, the Reiki master level of training was by invitation only. This invitation was extended only to accomplished students who were prepared to devote their lives to teaching people to practice Reiki. Traditionally, master training is done not through course work, but rather through an extended apprenticeship with a Reiki master. Only Reiki masters can teach Reiki to others.

I also am a Reiki Master. I've always known I have this incredible connection and am blessed. Not practicing or working enough these days, but when I do, I cry for the happiness, joy, and peace within. I paid good money for a hands on healing class, but the amount of verbal learning was way too overwhelming for me, and missed some info, my binder and notes, were not enough.

It takes me a little longer to get grounded. In the instructor session, he had a large amount of coursework to go through so I didn't even know what questions to ask and we were on to the next step.
