Honestly, I didn’t know what to expect. I had been teaching telepathic interspecies communication online and distance for years, and I knew that one of the wonderful benefits of Reiki is that it can be practiced at a distance. We also looked at the Reiki Level I, II and Master Certification Energy Healing Course, which is for those who want to learn Reiki to heal family members and friends. Receiving attunements/reiju: Students are more or less sensitive to energy, especially as a beginner Reiki student, and will often feel and notice physical, mental, and emotional sensations during the attunement more easily with their Reiki teacher right in front of them performing the attunement. (It also helps their linear mind to trust that something is happening!)
Secondly, we are a school of universality and are open to anyone anywhere who is truly seeking self-healing or support for those around them, as such our online training can reach individuals who are: homebound with illness or agoraphobia, socially anxious, in beds or wheel chairs with no access to a Reiki teaching class, living far from the larger towns without holistic services, wanting to study in private, or so busy as parents or employees that they can’t find time to study until late at night or early morning.
The course is flexible, easy to follow, heaps of resources at hand and support is always at hand and it is self passed. You would spend more on a material item any day of the week such as tablets for pain or medicines and vitamins, yet this is a gift that keeps on giving and allows you to help people in physical and emotional pain and suffering and you can even help your animals and pets!
I realise that this question is a few years old but the answer will remain relevant for anyone interested in practicing Reiki. I’m a Reiki Master who lived, studied and trained in Japan the traditional methods of Usui Sensei by one of Dr Hayashi’s original students who still lives today. It took me almost three years to become a Master. Each level has 4 degrees of studies and it shocks me to learn that people call themselves a “Reiki Master” after doing a weekend course or even worse taking an online course. This is NOT Reiki!
As interest in the courses grew it quickly became clear that Marion was not going to be able to meet the demand in a way that suited her. Marion firmly believes that Reiki courses should be run either on a one to one basis, or in small groups certainly of no more than four people. In that way each person is guaranteed the attention that they deserve, ensuring that the course is very special to them.
